MUGS OF LOVE

Rae Dunn Long Letter mugs are my favorite! I began collecting these about two years ago. They are simple, to the point, but make a statement! A word, phrase, motivational saying, or title is displayed on every mug. Some mugs from my personal collection include: TEACHER, EARLY BIRD, SNOOZE, GULP, YOU’VE GOT THIS, SIP, BLESSED. It’s fun to see what you can find in stores and what other Dunn collectors have in their stash, too!

Each morning, I go to the cabinet and pick out a mug to start my day. I carefully select the one for the vibe of the day! Mug choice is everything.

My love of coffee and my little mugs inspired this activity for Mother’s Day. It’s a simple activity to encourage thoughtfulness for a loved one.

Students will think of a word or phrase that describes the special lady in their life. They will write a word on the mug and use their imagination to express themselves with color and artwork. There is a writing prompt for students to explain why they chose that word for their mom, aunt, grandma, or any other special woman.
